Palliative Care Services provide consultations for patients and families who have been referred by Oncology, Surgery and Family Medicine. The department aims to meet the physical, psychosocial and spiritual needs arising from terminal illnesses.
The care team-which oversees the unit's five beds-includes physicians, nurses and volunteers working in collaboration with professionals from nutrition, rehabilitation, pastoral and social services. Home care and grief counselling are also available.
