The Emergency Department provides consultation 24 hours per day in all disciplines except paediatrics, neurosurgery and cardiac surgery. It is also an active teaching centre for undergraduate and postgraduate students in the Family Medicine and Emergency Medicine Programs. For consultation, notification by the attending physician prior to a referral is always appreciated.
