8:30-16:30, Monday-Friday

SERVICES:
Inpatient Occupational Therapy provides assessment and discharge planning on a 29-bed short stay unit. Outpatient Occupational Therapy is an integral part of the Mental Health Rehabilitation Program which provides various individual and group sessions.

REFERRAL SOURCE:
Any health professional affiliated with St. Mary's Hospital. A psychiatric evaluation is required.

FEATURES:
The Occupational Therapy Department provides assessment and treatment of clients suffering from various mental illnesses in order to maintain, promote, and develop function in self-care, home management, leisure, and work. Interventions are delivered in individual and group format, they can include social skills training, leisure assessment and counseling, vocational adjustment, development of coping and organizational strategies, kitchen evaluations, and cognitive-perceptual training. The outcome of treatment is to facilitate reintegration or adjustment to community living.
