The department of Speech Pathology provides evaluation, consultation and treatment for people suspected of having a speech, language, swallow, voice or cognitive-language disorder.

The services of the department are offered together with a multi-disciplinary team to provide optimal level of care to patients.

The speech pathologist is also actively involved in teaching both graduate students and other health-care professionals.

The majority of patients who are followed are inpatients at  who have suffered a neurological insult resulting in speech, language and/or swallowing difficulties.
