The Patient Assessment Center is an outpatient clinic which is responsible for all aspects of pre-operative preparation. A team of professionals evaluates the patients before their surgery by carrying out the pre-operative assessment and appropriate pre-op testing and referrals to consultants.
Patient teaching and instruction regarding preparation for surgery are carried out by the staff of the Patient Assessment Center at least two weeks prior to the operation.
