McGill Palliative Care Training for Volunteers

Registration has begun for the Fall Session of the Palliative Care Training for volunteers.  These workshops are open to anyone who is interested in becoming a volunteer in Palliative Care at any of the McGill teaching hospitals as well as caregivers, nurses, PABs or anyone else interested in learning a little bit more about the meaning of palliative care and what it has to offer to patients at the end of life.

This course is given for six consecutive Tuesday evenings starting September 27th, 2011 and will take place at the Jewish General Hospital. The registration fee is $35.00 and a certificate will be awarded upon completion.

La période d’inscription à la session d’automne pour la formation en soins palliatifs des bénévoles est en cours.  Ces ateliers sont ouverts à tous ceux et celles qui seraient intéressés à devenir bénévole en soins palliatifs à l’un des hôpitaux universitaires de l’Université McGill.  Cette formation s’adresse aux soignants, infirmiers, PAB ou toute autre personne intéressée à en apprendre un peu plus sur la signification des soins palliatifs et ce que ces soins peuvent offrir aux patients en fin de vie.

Ce cours est donné les mardis soirs à partir du 27 septembre, et tous les mardis qui suivront, pour un total de six cours.  Ces cours auront lieu à l’Hôpital général juif. Les frais d’inscription sont de 35,00$ et un certificat sera remis à la fin du cours.
