General Surgery

The Division of General Surgery provides multidisciplinary expertise in the investigation and surgical management of the breast, gastrointestinal (including laparascopic surgery), vascular (including a non-invasive vascular laboratory) and endocrine (thyroid, parathyroid, adrenal) systems disorders.

General introduction

The Division of General Surgery provides multidisciplinary expertise in the management of breast, endocrine (thyroid, parathyroid and adrenal) gastrointestinal, hepatobiliary, hernia and vascular (including a non-invasive vascular laboratory) disorders. Increasingly, many of these procedures are offered in a minimally invasive fashion.

Whats new

With the addition of two new fellowship trained general surgeons, the Division of General Surgery has undergone tremendous changes over the past 12 months. New procedures, with an emphasis on laparoscopic surgery, are being offered and the division has broader expertise than ever before.
